PR is largely worthless as an indicator of a site's value. However, some sites earn most of their money from selling links in some way, shape or form (take directories, for instance). Organic traffic and actual rankings are a much more reliable metric than PR in my opinion! Also Molly you just need to use target="_blank" when you make the link.
